I had reached out about which wicks I should use for the 8oz straight sided candle jars and Shawn got back to me right away, recommending these #12 HPC wicks even though the recommended vessel diameter is 2.3". I questioned this and he said it was because the vessels have a neck so I went with his recommendation. I forgot to mention that I was trying a new wax, GB Coco/Soy 454. I have heard that wicking this type of wax is quite difficult and was worried these wicks wouldn't work. Im pleased to say they did work. My vessel had the tiniest bit of wax residue left on its sides but it was a nice slow burn with minimal mushrooming and no soot left on the sides of the vessel. The hot throw was excellent at 8% but im currently waiting on a 7% to see if that gets rid of that minimal mushrooming.
